Voting issues

I've been diligently voting for the last week and a half (since joining, yes I'm new).
For the first 2 days I received points, not all but some (as advertised).
But since then nothing (I have a grand total of 7 points). I asked in world chat and people are getting points, so clearly I'm doing something wrong.

My procedure:
1.) I log out of the website, and log back in
2.) I open the vote sites in new tabs (all of them)
3.) I cast my vote on each site, and close each tab
4.) with baited breath I refresh the website hoping to see the points number change from 0 to ... anything
5.) I am disappointed :'(

Can anyone tell me if this is incorrect and/or what I should be doing differently.

Please take a look at the mania youtube video "How to vote"
Remember to vote every 24 hours not every 12 hours.

This will fix your issue.

I watched it, I also waited more than 24 hours. Still nothing.
Tomorrow, I will close the browser first (as mine has been open all this time), and we'll see if that helps.

Just tried it at 24 hours and 20 minutes. Fresh browser, fresh login to the website.
I got 0.

I try with Edge tomorrow. That's the last thing I can thing to try.

Tried now in edge, 24 + 2 hours and got zilch.
No vote rewards for me, I guess.

Ok, so it worked today, and the only different thing i did was that I specifically "clicked" (primary mouse button) the links not "open in new tab" (middle click).

My muscle memory was fouling me up.

Thinking on it some more, it might be a good idea to put that in the guide, explicitly.
